"Jonathan, meet Jonathan. And Jonathan, meet Jonathan. Two Los Angeles favorites collide on “Only Love,” a song from the mind and studio of Jonathan Haskell, whose Seven Saturdays took a big leap from its roots in ambient music in May, releasing an evocative self-titled album packed with guest vocalists and dreamy, haunting effects. Rain Phoenix of Papercranes guests on the original “Only Love,” which becomes a different beast in the hands of Big Black Delta’s Jonathan Bates. Big Black Delta released its own self-titled album in April — a brash, rockist take on electro — and on the “Only Love” remix, Bates’ pounding synths take center stage."
